Newsletters and Upcoming Events
St. Augustine School publishes a monthly newsletter highlighting activities and events in both schools. This year, in an effort to conserve paper, we are strongly encouraging parents to sign up for an electronic reminder. If you do require a paper copy, it is sent home with the youngest student near the beginning of each month. The current and previous month’s newsletter are always available on the web-site. To receive an electronic reminder rather than a paper newsletter send an email to Paper Free! Please include your child's name & homeroom.
AbracaDAZZLE! Starring John Kaplan
The Friend’s of St. Augustine School Support Foundation and School Council are beginning to raise funds for Phase II of our “Save the Playground” campaign. It is our hopes to build a playground at the west side of the main school for our grades 5, 6 & 7’s.
John Kaplan will be bringing “AbracaDAZZLE” his spellbinding multi-media magic show that will transport you to a world of wonder and mystery to the Kinsmen Community Center located at 5009 – 46 Avenue in Ponoka on May 2, 2010. Show times are 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Shows run 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Your entire family will be gasping in astonishment and rolling in the aisles with laughter…..a dazzling experience you’ll be talking about long after the final curtain!
Concessions & raffles open at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Hot dogs, hamburgers, soft drink, cotton candy & popcorn will be available.
Come early to reserve your seat and grab a meal. Purchase raffle tickets to Houdini’s Trunk – If you’re the winner of a key, your key could open Houdini’s Trunk and win the fabulous prize inside! Pledge your “loonie” to see your favorite teacher “sawed” in half! Buy raffle tickets to many wonderful prizes donated by our local businesses. Purchase a “volunteer” ticket and maybe you will be selected to assist John Kaplan!
