St Augustine Wrestlers

The wrestlers from St Augustine school have been practicing and working very hard at building their skills and fitness levels to compete for Ponoka at several tournaments throughout Alberta. We currently have 8 girls and 7 boys competing at various weight and age levels. At each tournament this year we have had many successes. We have accumulated several medals including 8 golds, 2 silver and 4 bronze. St Augustine has had the largest # of students from one school qualify in wrestling to represent their zone at the Alberta winter Games in Leduc, Febuary 14- 18th. The students are : Nicole Marburg, Ashley Schultz, Rebekah Harper, Chanal Mandrusiak, Katie Walcheske, Helena Winter, Jacob Gartner, Isaac MacDonald, Brett Rogalski, Duro Baden, Ian McGinnis with Kelsey Raab, Joey Nelson and Jason Freeman as alternates. We are extremely proud of these students and their dedication to their growth as an athlete and citizen of St Augustine school.
